The group held a meeting on the 5th November to discuss this year's events and exchange information.   It is hoped to have another outing together 
      around next Easter.Further meetings will be  arranged as required.

  HISTORY OF THE 19TH. CENTURY
        
    Tracing events from the French Revolution up to the outbreak of the 1st. World War in 1914.  Starts 24th. and 25th. February.
    This group will meet on the 4th. Tuesday of each month at 10.30 am at the Venton Centre, Mount Gould.  There will be a repeat on the 
    next day (Wednesday), same time, same place.  The cost will be £2.00 - £2.50 each.  If you are interested please phone Brian Sabel on

    and there are limited places at the venue.

HISTORY- MEDIEVAL

    This  group meets on the 3rd Wednesday afternoon of the month 2.00 - 4.00pm at the
    Swarthmore Centre, Mutley Plain
    The group is a forum for the study and enjoyment of Medieval History with the opportunity to
    listen, talk as much or as little as you want.   Over 20 members attend regularly

    ITALIAN CONVERSATION 1 & 2, 
    Two mixed ability groups.

    March 12th.    Presentation by M&M of Howard Goodall's "Eternal Light".  A modern Requiem with the traditional Latin text juxtaposed with poetry inEnglish. 
    A beautiful piece.
    April 9th.    "The Birth of British Music".    Charles Hazelwood looks at the life and music of Henry Purcell.
